Friday the 13th ~
Thank you all so much for the comments and emails that I received from friends, family and fellow bloggers with your well wishes and kind comments. I have so enjoyed this past year and look forward to the next.
My youngest son insisted that he get to draw the names since he was born on a Friday the 13th.
So here they are:

The winners of my Blog Anniversary/1 year birthday giveaway ~
A. Rooster painting ~

Sandy @ the Whistle Stop Cafe

B. Butterfly bush Tissue Holder ~ Dragonlady

C. Pansy box ~ La Tea Dah

Again, thank you so much for all the comments, your support and for coming by my blog!
If all of you lovely winners above will send me your mailing addresses I will have your PRIZE mailed out to you immediately. You'll find me email under my profile.

So yesterday the boys and I went and saw Harry Potter. I'm a HUGE fan of the HP movies but hate to say that this was my least favorite. There were times I was thinking, "did the person in charge of editing forget to take a part out?". There were lulls? long periods of time that just seemed strange. Loved seeing how grown up they've all gotten but just wasn't too pleased with the final picture. It didn't help that someone decided to bring a child about 15 mths. old that was going up and down the stairs and causing all kinds of commotion and that the two teenage girls beside me couldn't last 2 hours without texting someone. Plus, on top of all of that I spent $26.00 on two popcorns and two sodas and found 2 hairs in the popcorn - can you say YUK!
I did take it back and got more but have to admit that I didn't eat another bite! The boys said it was good though.

I've been busy trying to get ready for classes since returning from vacation but haven't quite gotten into the grove of it yet. My sister called me today to see what I was doing and although I knew that I should have been doing about 1,000 other things more important, I was cleaning out my laundry room ~ top to bottom!

Here is something that I painted the other day though for my Monday and Wednesday classes ~ I have to admit that I absolutely LOVE this piece and was so pleased after I finished it! I cannot wait to teach this to my students.

I've been toying with the idea (and a few emails that have been sent to me asking me where my stuff can be purchased) to start an Etsy shop. I will hopefully get that up and running before the end of July so watch my side bar section for an update! What do you think?

Have an outstanding weekend!! Ciao.

Sandy, I love your new piece --- so refreshing and soothing and beautiful! You are so creative!

I can't believe I won the pansy box! Wow --- I'm doing a happy dance!!!! Thank you SO much! It's especially meaningful because of my mom (a decorative painter and a pansy lover). I will think of you and her each time I look at it!

And you are inspiring me to conduct a give-away myself, but I'm still mulling ideas of "what" over in my head!

Lucky you to get to see lavender fields in England!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Love,
LaTeaDah

Sandy~ thank you for the rooster. He will just match my kitchen! Now make sure it's signed so I will have an original signed copy when you get famous.

I think the Etsy store is a good idea!

I meant to tell you that the water lillies are really neat. I love the water drops you did on them very realistic. I am sure your students will do well.

Sandy,
I think an "Etsy Shop" would be great!!! Then I can by what I want from you. Since you paint better than me anyway.
Can hardly wait for class Monday!

I love the colors in that newest painting! Lovely combination. I think that you would do very well with an Etsy shop. :)

Movies have gotten to be very expensive. It's still one of our favorite things to do (DS2 and I are movie junkies).

I hope that you're having a good weekend!

xo, Andrea

Well, you've talked me out of HP! A good thing my boys are not bothered. I love Rupert though (Ron in the film). I must say that I was annoyed when I saw the 1st film.. because nothing was new, Rawling had pinched bits from Roman and Greeks myths & legends and some other tales too. I was v. disappointed that a generation would go thinking " yes, we know the three-headed dog, he was in HP" ...

I think that you would do wonderfully on etsy! You should go for it!!!!
I'm a Harry Potter fan too... now I wonder even more. Your kids liked it though. :) We'll see....
Your son is funny! Putting that paper over his face like that. LOLOLOL

Hi Sandy

Congrats to the winners. I'll keep trying. Maybe I'll win next time :-)

I want to see the Harry Potter movie soon. My daughter said it was pretty scary. Yuk about the popcorn.

Love your new painting! I'd vote yes for a Etsy shop.

Hugs!
