and A Partridge in a Pear Wreath...

I had my last paint class this week for this year and we painted a Partridge in a Pear Wreath. I had done a class a couple of years ago where we did a partridge in a pear tree so I wanted to do something a bit different. I absolutely LOVE the way this project turned out and I think everyone did such a fabulous job on their project.

Nancy
(This was Nancy's first class with me and she did such a great job) She does ceramics and the more we chatted about it the more I missed having my kiln up and running and painting on ceramics! I use to copy china patterns onto the odd and end dishes that I poured as well as a ton of other things and LOVED it! Can't do it all I guess.

I asked Gloria to bring her chickadee glass block back since I had forgotten to take her photo at the class! Thanks Gloria!

My boys had their finals today and are out of school until January 7th! I'm looking forward to having them home for many weeks!! Got all of my packages mailed and now have to tackle those Christmas cards!

Have a great day!!

Holiday Tray ~ Creating with Clay

We created a holiday tray yesterday in clay class ~ well, we didn't make the tray - they have these at Hobby Lobby (awesome plexi tray) but we did create the clay embellishment to dress it up a bit for the holidays.

This was Ellen's first clay class with me!! She also won the drawing and got to take home the tray that I did.

Gloria

Gloria - thanks for all the candy cane bath goodies you gave me for Christmas. I cannot wait to use them in a bath!! You are too sweet!

Today I went to lunch with my hubby - it was their work holiday luncheon and it was nice to meet all the people I hear him mention. Tomorrow I get to have breakfast with my youngest at his school for an Honor Roll Breakfast!

Looking forward to getting some shopping done this weekend. I cannot believe I've done NONE and it's almost the middle of December!! I'm also hoping to get some baking done too! Boys are begging for golf balls (chocolate, peanut butter and coconut ones YUM) and some breads!

Have a fabulous day!!

I so need to get some shopping done!!! I haven't done ANY! Hubby has done quite a bit but we still have so much to do!! I know it comes the same time every year but why does it always seem like it sneaks up on me??!!
Hope you have a great day!

December Classes have begun
I had a fabulous kids painting and clay class this weekend. We painted a Crafty Wave project and then created snowflakes out of Studio Clay. The girls did such a wonderful job on their penguins and their snowflakes and wanted to make more more more! With only 2 hours in the class though we finished one sled and one snowflake.

We're painting on glass today and tonight in paint class. We're painting a chickadee on these awesome glass blocks and painting the inside with Hologram Extreme Glitter . The ladies can also choose to put lights in them as well to make the really shine!

I spent 3 days last week in Florida painting/creating with my friend Donna and she did some amazing projects that are part of the One Stroke Painting January Summit in Florida! I love them all and know that the attendees will as well!

Well, it's time to get ready for paint class and get my boys up and ready for the day! I LOVE Mondays ~ they have no school on Mondays and it really has had a positive affect on my household! Things are relaxed and seem very smooth - the boys all have A's so the shortened week hasn't effected their grades at all.
Have a fabulous day!

My Birthday and Mistletoe Market

Wow! What an exciting week I just had! I had such a wonderful birthday and spent the day setting up for the Mistletoe Market in Perry and then had a fabulous dinner out with my boys. My mom and dad sent the most incredible flowers that were waiting for me when I got home from setting up our booth for the event. I had to include a picture so you could all see them - the cake is just too adorable and they still look fresh and wonderful almost a week later! Thanks mom and dad!

I got a sad call on my b-day though that my mom wasn't going to be coming back to the states because her tdy was cancelled....boohoo!!! I was really looking forward to having her here and so were my boys! BUT she'll be able to spend Thanksgiving with my daddy now which is good.

We changed things this year with our booth at the Mistletoe Market. This is the third year Nicole and I have done the event it's gotten better and better every year!! We were slammed packed busy all weekend which is a good thing but there were moments I wasn't sure we'd get done all the special orders we were personalizing while people shoppped!! We certainly could not have done it each day without Nicole's daughter Lexi helping us either - she helped customers while Nicole and I had our heads buried painting painting painting!! We had ornaments, santa plates, money banks, and holiday tiles ( our best seller for the 2nd year in a row).

Here are some of the banks we did ~ I will have to take better pictures this coming weekend when we set up for the Gingerbreads on Main event in Byron, GA. We were so busy from the first minutes the door opened on Friday until closing Sunday at 5p.m. that we didn't take many pictures - nor did we eat lunch or have a potty break -it was that crazy busy!! I know we have some other pictures though that some friends took so once I get those I'll share them with you!

Now, I have to get my much neglected studio and HOUSE in order!! I'm looking forward to having the kids out of school this week and spending some time with them and having my sister and family here on Thanksgiving!!
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
Sandy
