BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH GIVEAWAY ~

So as promised ~ here is my piece of ART that I will be giving away in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I will draw a winner on November 1st. in the morning. All comments left in the month of October will go into the drawing.

It's an 8x10 canvas handpainted by me with open wispy roses. I asked my paint class students what they think I should write on it. I really wanted to do something inspirational and they all answered the same thing....Dream, Create, Inspire....everyday! I LOVE IT!

Starting today ~ let your bloggy friends know about my giveaway and tell them to let me know that you sent them and I will enter your name in the drawing that many more times!
EDIT: Yes I will ship internationally!

Have a great week!

Saturday paint classes ~
Spent my Saturday painting! I had three paint classes and as usual we had a great time.
We painted a paper mache box with evergreen sprigs, holly leaves, berries and white roses.

Stacia
Stacia won the project piece drawing for this class.

Alice
holding the ornament I painted for all of them. (see below)

Kim
I found these wooden ornaments at Michaels and painted each of them one as a thank you gift in celebration of my one year anniversary of teaching paint classes at Hobby Lobby.

Our second class was the winter landscape I had done earlier in the week with my morning crew.

Doriann
Doriann won my project piece in the class drawing.
My 3rd class was kinda of a "Thank You" class for the Hobby Lobby employees. They have been so kind to me over this past year and are always peeking in and seeing what we are painting. They are always so eager to help me out with whatever I need and I wanted to thank them by teaching two classes for just them.
We painted the snowman wall hanging project and they all did a fabulous job. Unfortunately, some of the ladies
that signed up couldn't come because they ended up having to work.

Mary

Stacy

Jenna

Sarah
Sarah won my project piece in the class drawing.

Thank you all so much for you sweet comments and visits. I have been unable to get around to read blogs lately but am hoping to make some time soon. I miss seeing what you are all up to and appreciate so much you taking the time to come by and let me know you were here.
I will be drawing from all the Oct. comments for the Breast Cancer Awareness piece of art that I've created. Well, I saw created but it's not quite finished yet. Will be done and posted hopefully before Nov. 1st. Don't forget to leave me a comment to enter the drawing and ALSO don't forget to click on the Breast Cancer link at the top right of my blog.
I hope you have a fabulous week!

Did you hear the screams all the way to your house??

Our Austin tried out for his middle school basketball team this week along with 29 other kids and was among the 13 selected for their school team!!!!
We are so proud of him. We were proud of him for just trying out! This was a big leap for our oldest that is on the quiet/shy side. I think he is misunderstood at school as a bit snobbish because he is so quiet and to himself but WOW! What an accomplishment and again, have I mentioned how proud we are of him?!?!
I have 3 painting classes tomorrow - 18 students total! Gotta get off this computer and get ready for them but wanted to share the good news. Will share photos from paint class with ya tomorrow!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Happy Birthday Debbie!
Today my little sister turns "37"!
Hope you have a great birthday sis - sorry you have to spend it at work!

Friday and Saturday paint classes

At paint class on Friday we painted Christmas Wall hangings. We used the same canvas material that we used for the table runners earlier in the week.
I started this project with 3 snowflakes in the 3 squares.
Then at class, I gave everyone the option of painting ornaments or snowflakes or both - well of course, Nicole chose to paint ornaments and they were so AWESOME that I had to paint them on the "giveaway piece" that I do in class. Barb won the drawing so got to take home the one I did below.

I liked the ornaments so much that I changed my original to have 3 ornaments in the middle for my class on Saturday.

Since Oct. is my one year anniversary of teaching painting classes at HL ~ I decided that every student will get something from me at every class in October ~ a party favor sort of ~ well that is 71 things ~ the most students I've ever had in one month!

For the weekend classes I painted these rose ornaments for each of my students. I painted some glass frames as well but forgot to take photos of those.
