Today we painted holiday table runners with evergreen sprigs, pinecones, berries and ribbon. Everyone did an amazing job and I think they' ll be making many more of these plus some placemats to go along. It is painted on a fabric that it's intended use is "blackout" material but it works great for painting on as well as one side is canvas like. Hobby Lobby carries it and it's quite reasonably priced. I thought how awesome it would be to paint a mural on it so that when I get tired of the mural I can just roll the canvas up and put it away! Still might have to try that in my spare time - hehehe - sorry that made me laugh out loud!

We didn't have time to paint the holly leaves on them in class but I think they all turned out absolutely beautiful. Some were going to cut around the design at home or leave them for a trim, fringe, or something decorative.
We'll I got an award TWICE! How cool is that Sandi over at Holding Patterns and Joan at Joan's Journey gave me this award yesterday and today (It's on my side bar - blogger won't let me upload that picture for some reason in my post??) Any suggestions??
Thank you ladies! Very sweet and generous of you.
I bowled pretty good yesterday ~ 154, 179 and 184. I go in this month to have my wrist looked at because it's not feeling too good and I'm hoping they tell me it's nothing or an easy fix as I'd hate to have to stop bowling.
Anyway, must get back to painting for the rest of the classes this week. Hoping to get some blog hopping in as well!

WOW! Those turned out so great.
Love it, Love it, Love it!! I must paint one for myself, you might need to send me instructions. Hope I can find the canvas up here. Going to a HUGE craft show this weekend and will try and make some pics of the cool stuff I see. I will be sure to post what treasures I find. My grandmother LOVED the lighthouse you found. Thanks again for sharing your talent. I miss being your student!
How neat! Everyone's looks beautiful.
These are great. Everyone did a really nice job on them. I love how you have taught them so many different techniques and on such a variety of canvasas. The possibilities seem endless with your creativity.
Love ya,
Linda
Wow...what a great project. They all look really good, but I especially liked Nicole's.

Those runners are gorgeous! I hope that everything is okay with your wrist... smiles!
What a concept...I would have loved to have those to hang in my bedroom windows in summer when we lived in England (it stayed daylight till like 10:30...no kidding...didn't get daylight till, oh say 9 a.m. Those would have certainly looked better than the heavy blankets I threw over the windows to get the kids to sleep lol
What a neat idea! Those turned out great!
Love your blog header too!

I adore those canvases. I might have to move so I can take your classes.

Those are lovely. You must have tons of patience teaching others to paint! I'd like to try sometime.
Your students always do such a great job and I love seeing their works of art!
