Spring time in South Africa,
Fall flowers in paint class, & a Happy Fall collage

Bonnie is hosting a Spring party ~ I know it's September and down here in the south it's not Spring but between Summer and Fall. Today is the first day that we've had a lovely breeze and it could almost pass off as a spring day until the clouds move and then it's just plain HOT! Go on over to her blog and check out the gorgeous party contributions!
Don't you just LOVE the picture above? I get such a laugh everytime I see it.
In honor of Bonnie's Spring party ~ here are some flowers from my Spring trip to Nashville.

Fall flowers in paint class today

We painted sunflowers, mums, goldenrod,
asters, yellow and white daisies, and dahlias.
I LOVE fall colors and just went with flowers
that fit the color scheme. I love painting on flower pots and that is actually how I got
started "really" painting. I painted over
1,000 of them when we lived in Nebraska
and can say to date approx. 1500+ painted
~ all original, all different, and all so much fun
to paint.

Nicole won the project piece drawing today and took home the flower pot I painted during class.

Alice

Not sure if I mentioned it before but Alice won the monthly drawing for taking 6 classes in August and won a paint day with me at my home. We're going to paint an antique window.

Barb

I was trying to think of something Springy I could come up with for Bonnie's Spring Party and well this is the only thing that came to mind ~
HAPPY FALL! I know it's so opposite of Spring but it's what came to mind and what got created.

Anyway, hope you have a fantastic weekend. I am hoping to find my MOJO and get some much needed painting done. I also need to find some time to get around blogland ~ I'm way behind visiting and leaving comments.

Your fall creation is too cute! Sure is hard to think about creating Spring things this time of the year, huh? I can't wait to paint some flower pots, just gotta wait until my company leaves so I can get in my craftroom and play, play, play. Wish you could come up and inspire me!

Autumn is my favourite anyway! love the collage too. You know it's funny, this "opposite season" thing, it is something you learn about at school, but somehow for me it never was real until I started reading blogs from down south! Like water whirling the other way round too!

Hey - I sure hope you've found your MOJO. As you know, I've been mojo-less lately and I'm not terribly happy about it. lol I wish you great success in retrieving YOURS!

I love that bunny picture. It cracks me up. It'll probably STILL crack me 10 years from now if I see it again. It's just funny, I don't care what anybody says! lol

LOVE the Orange and yellow header!!! I opened up your blog and said, "WOW!" Your spring flowers are beautiful and I love your fall flower pots too! That cartoon is so funny. Every year at Easter we find it and just belly laugh every time! I finally was able to post Nonie's gifts. Terry really liked the canvas. Hugs ~ Kim

Sandy, that is my all time favorite card...the bunnies, I mean. It makes me laugh, too. The flowers are so gorgeous...I bought clay pots to paint the way you have yours but they ran away in terror when I first approached them with the paint brush...what do I do to make them be still long enough to get the first glaze on?
No, really, how do I get them to be still? Have you had any of Jaynes Plum cake? Quite delish...
