Kids Class this past week~
We had such a fun time on Saturday painting away - these kids amaze me with how well they do and how FAST they are! Oh my, I always have to have lots of projects prepared just in case they finish which they did.

The three sisters on the left have been to several classes and even their mom is coming to classes now which is exciting to see. A on the other end is the great grandson of one of my students (his mimi) and he drew the most incredible dinosaurs on his box and painted them - (his mimi bought some plastic ones for him to have as a reference and then he put them in the box and played away! Reminded me of my 3 boys when they were that age. E next to him is the granddaughter of one of my students and she missed her bowling league so that she could come and paint with us!

This past week was also my mother in law's birthday! I'm very blessed to have amazing in-laws!! Hope you had a great birthday Oma!

Will be back tomorrow with a post ~ it's a special day! Two days of posting in a row ~ a habit I really need to get in.

Have a great day.

Other Stuff ~ my blog ~ I've neglected it for so long - just can't find the time to get on the computer and hop through blogland like I used to! Feel disconnected from all the blogfriends I've made over the years since I don't have the time to visit like I wish I did. Have blogged too many posts on how neglected my blog is and I guess I just need to be happy with what it is right now and hopefully soon I'll get organized enough to get back on top of it!

Getting ready for a kids painting class the weekend and then my Sept. classes coming up. Hoping to get the done and posted on my sidebar soon!

Hope you have a fabulous day!

FAITH THE DOG!

My mother in law sent this fabulous email to us about Faith the Dog! I'm sure you've probably seen it floating around email world. It is so inspiring and just made me think about how
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN THERE IS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

Just goes to show too that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU WORK FOR IT! Like a dog walking down the street on two legs!!

Hope you have a fabulous day!

EXTREME GLITTER!!

Okay, if you haven't tried Plaid's Extreme Glitter YOU HAVE TO!!!

Pour it into an ornament and shake it around - let it dry and when it does - OMGoodness it is JEWEL like! I put mine in the oven so that it would dry faster (because I'm not that patient) and then the outside of the ornament is SMOOTH and ready to paint!

You can get the glitter here:

Dewberry Crafts

I saw an ornament similar to this fish one at Hobby Lobby but thought - I can make that and even cooler with the Ex. Glitter. It's so much more "sparkly" in person - the scales on the fish really shine -they are painted with the hologram ex. glitter and the seaweed is painted with peridot ex. glitter. I filled it about 3/4 the way with two different colored sequins.

A hodge podge of a post I know ~ but a post non the less!

Isn't this cake the coolest?? My friend made this for her granddaughter and I think she even surprised herself at how good it turned out!

Bet the kids were ready to eat the cake but also play with the cool toys on top of it!

Here some more pics from the Retreat that I lifted from a Jaime!

Jane

Isn't her shirt - incredible ~ she paints the most amazing roses!!

The kids had their first day of school this past week - got the bus situation all worked out thankfully and the homework has begun! We had a wonderful visit from my in-laws last weekend and they brought some amazing cantaloupes and watermelons from their garden with them so the boys had some fabulous fruit to eat for snacks after school!

Have paint and clay classes this week so will be back to share pictures with you soon!

Have a great day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DAD!!!!
We love you so very much and hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!

Kids are back in school this week - was an eventful first day with the bus though!
The bus showed up late the first day for my son ~ so he arrived late on the first day - he wasn't too happy. Then he FINALLY arrived home at 6p.m. YES, 6p.m. The driver didn't exactly know the route and she had the radio on so loud that when the kids were telling her that was their house she didn't hear and would pass them by to have to drive a ways to get to a point to be able to turn around. The next day the bus arrived late so I took him to school and I started the calls to the board of education and the bus depot to find out what was going on - we live 10 mins. from the school - crazy. He ended up getting home at 5:20p.m. the second day. Yesterday he got on the bus on time with a NEW driver and arrived home at 4:10 with yet another new driver - the route was obviously too long so they split it between two different drivers and my son got his FAVORITE bus driver Mr. Mark.
My oldest came home yesterday so worried with one of his classes - 3 day of school and already worried. It is Physics and not a class his momma is gonna be able to help him with unfortunately - way over my head!! Most things come very easy for him to learn but this is gonna be a challenge which he isn't used to! It will be GOOD!

As much as I love having my kids home I also love having the house to myself during the day to get stuff done! Been painting, claying and cleaning house in between!

Hope you have a great day!!

Crafty Wave painting project & a Basket of Petunias ~

We painted a basket of petunias in paint class on Friday. I remember my mom used to have pink petunias in baskets - we always had beautiful flowers growing in our front and back yards - I certainly didn't get her green thumb!

We painted on this fabulous new wooden lap desk that is available now at Hobby Lobby. It's so well made and was perfect for this painting.

Hard to believe summer vacation is over and my boys are back in school this week. They will go Tuesday through Friday and have Mondays off. They were of course disappointed to find out that Mondays will not be play days or game days but STUDY/Reading days at home. We met with all of their teachers this past Thursday and they all seemed very confident with the new schedule. I have to admit that I'm looking forward to having some days back to myself at the house to get house cleaning done as well as painting and creating!

Wanted to wish my brother in law David (Uncle Cool to my boys) a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! His birthday was yesterday. My dad's birthday is at the end of this week and my hubby and mother in law have birthdays later this month as well!

Have a fabulous day!
