Clay Clocks
We had so much fun making these clocks yesterday in Clay Class. I had made several before deciding what I was going to teach in class. It was awesome to see how excited the ladies were about their creations! I think they'll be making lots of these this year!

This is the clock before I dry brushed it with Enamel Paint and the after~

I had so many plans for today - I went to bed early last night so that I could wake up refreshed and ready to go and woke up with the biggest headache, body aches, tummy ache and well - everything aches! NOT the Saturday I was hoping for - have tons of stuff to do and it's just not gonna get done today unfortunately!! urgh! Think I'll crawl on the couch with an afghan and watch a movie with my hubby and boys!

WHERE IS MY PHONE???

Well it helps to publish a post when you create it- put all the pictures in a couple of days ago and forgot to publish the post! Guess that stacks right up there with the week I was having.

Tuesday I went to bowling - didn't bowl well at all ~ in fact - too embarrassed to list my scores. Anyway, I knew for sure that I had brought my phone in but I couldn't find it. I looked everywhere, cleaned my purse out on the counter, went back to the car and it was no where to be found. Thought maybe the ladies were pulling a trick on me. My bowling partner called me from her phone and there my laughing baby ringtone went off - in my purse - how could that be - I empitied it til there was nothing in it ~ well the ringing was coming from my hard sunglasses case and you guessed it - instead of putting my sunglasses in the case which were on the counter I put my phone in it, closed it and guess I forgot that I did that! Everyone of course had a good laugh and the day went pretty much the same after that! What can you do but laugh!!


The day before on Monday we painted some pretty teacups and spring blossoms in paint class.





















I'm so ready for Spring blossoms and Spring weather - actually it could jump right to Summer and I'd be even happier!

Trio of Topiaries

It was nice to get back to classes again! I always take the last two weeks of December and first two weeks of January off since the boys are out of school. I really miss my painters during that time but it also gives me a chance to get organized with my schedule for the year and class projects.

I had a blast at the Education Summit in Florida and will share more photos soon - trying to figure out the photo program on my new laptop but think I'll have to just get back on the home computer and load them - it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks!hehehe

We painted a trio of topiaries in class this week and I just love the way they turned out! I crackled the canvas beforehand so that they would be dry and ready to paint on in class.

It's raining cats and dogs here right now! Wish I could stay in my jammies and paint all day! I have to go out in the weather though - urgh!

Dewberry Crafts Education Summit
We're having a blast at the Dewberry Crafts Ed. Summit!! We painted and learned lots about Crafty Wave yesterday and today everyone painted two fabulous paintings. Some people weren't done with the finishing touches on their second painting so I'll share a group photo of them later this week.
Monday - Crafty Wave Day!

Althea got 15 inches of her hair cut off and donated it to locks of love!! How awesome is that!!

Today everyone painted this amazing painting - it's done in High Definition paint which leaves fabulous texture like you can achieve with oils. It was so cold outside today here in Florida but the room was warm and cozy with all the warmth from these paintings - and all the fun painters in the room as well!

They painted a second project today but some wanted to put some finishing touches on them before we took a group shot so I'll share those pictures with you later in the week. Gotta get to bed!! Big day tomorrow - teaching the clay portion of the summit and love the project - hope they do as well!
