Playing with Clay and some paintin' too ~
So, I broke out the tools and clay for the first time since getting back from my certification and came up with these creations!
I absolutely love how creative I cam be with this clay and I wasn't sure what I was going to make but this is what came out ~

I got this tray on clearance at Target for $4.83 and I thought it would look cute with strawberries and blossoms on it.

and cause I LOVE grapes I decided to put some on this tall terra cotta tall pot. My darling hubby got a tall pot like this when he went to the south of France and it was called a Briq-a-vin ~ something to put in the fridge to get cold and put a bottle of wine in to keep it chilled.

I'm doing more with grapes and clay this weekend and will share it with you when I'm done!

When I decided to go to the certification I had to reschedule a paint class that I had and luckily there were only two people in the class so Barb and Nicole came over yesterday to my house and we painted the vegetable medley. This time we painted it on a wooden tray. We had a great, relaxed time painting and getting to know each other better. Both of these ladies are off to certification next month in One Stroke Painting and I know they are going to do fabulously well!

I finally had two days home this week with absolutely no where I had to be and nothing that I had to do besides CLEAN my house ~ you know cleaning the shower with a toothbrush kinda clean that I haven't had time to do in quite a while. Now, it's back to the grind getting ready for my 12 paint classes this month.

My oldest son had his final basketball game this week too. He really enjoyed his time playing but is so glad that it's over. My middle son is still playing BB and goes through this month. He's having a ball (hahaha ~ every pun intended) playing on a team for the first time and is looking forward to trying out for the middle school team next year.

Don't forget about my One World One Heart Giveaway ~ check out my posts below. All comments left between now and Feb. 13th will go into the drawing for my painted strawberry tray. I will draw a name on Valentine's Day! Go on over to my other blog to check out that giveaway as well by clicking here M&E Designs.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Sandy

The clay work is great. I love the dimension you were able to get with the leaves on the chiller.

I love the claywork. My favorite piece at home is white on white. White roses on a white leave "bowl." It is beautiful!

I'd been waiting to see you in full clay mode! I really love the leaves you made... do you find that it sticks well on ceramics?

I love what you have done with the clay, it looks like you have been doing it forever. Your gilrs did a great job with the trays also.
