Thursday Paint Class ~
We had a great time at paint class Thursday evening. I'm just now getting around to posting the pics because I've caught the bug that has been going around our family for the last week.

We painted in reverse on glass ~ an awesome but sometimes tricky technique.

This was her first class.

Think my camera batteries went dead and although I took her second picture of her and her gorgeous platter it wasn't on my camera - phewy!

I have two painting classes today (Saturday) and we are painting the Cornucopia trays that are displayed in the post below and this platter with a poinsettia and berries on it.
I love these large glass platters from Hobby Lobby - they are for candles to be displayed on but with a little decoration are perfect for using as platters for upcoming holiday parties!

I had my mammogram on Thursday and it went very well. Wasn't as bad as I had imagined and all was well with the results. The doctor was there and looked at my xrays since the technician was going to be gone for 10 days. Glad I didn't have to wait that long for my results.

I've managed to catch the family bug going around - head stuffed and feels like it's going to explode at any moment ~ lots of sneezing, watery eyes, headache, body ache, chills, you name it and I'm probably feeling it. You'll notice in my "I'm thankful for.." today is Kleenex and cold medicine. You could you imagine not having kleenex. I'm a firm believer that not all cold meds work but Mucsinex seems to be working so far!
Gonna go and take a long hot soak before my class and hope to loosen some of this crude up.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Sandy

Sandy,
Hope you're feeling better. Thank you for visiting my blog and yes, you may list me on yours, I'd be delighted! Thanks! Also wanted to comment on the reverse painted plates; my father used to paint reversed painted pictures on glass and frame them. Brought back some good memories. Thanks again! I enjoy your blog and will be back again, and I will add you to my list of favorites!

I hope that you feel better soon. I hope that you have lots of Kleenex and cold meds. :) Your class painted beautifully as they usually do. I sooooo envy them for being taught by you. :) Maybe if you drink some green tea it will help? You can soak in a hot tub and drink some tea. The hot water clears your sinus's.The hot tea will relax you. Just a suggestion though. I hope that you feel better. :) *Hugs*

Bless your heart Sandy. You know I had that crude a few weeks ago. Not fun! Take care of yourself. Mine hung on for awhile.

I'm so excited and thankful your mammogram results were good. Praise God!

I'm loving my painting and I think of you everytime I look at it. Thanks again!

Hugs!

If I had known of your blog last year, I might have let myself be talked into moving to Warner Robins when my husband had a job offer there. lol Ah the things I could have painted!
Hey and aren't you supposed to be going back to the doctor soon for a follow up procedure or something? I've been thinking of you...

Feeling better girlfriend? I certainly hope so...you know I dreamed I was painting a plate in your class and it was a Christmas plate only I wrote PEACH on it instead of Peace...was I being clairvoyantly stupid? Hope you are feeling better now!!

Great job on the plates. That looks a little complicated doing it in reverse. Semper FI. Happy Birthday to all the Marines out there (Nov 10th) and Happy Veterans day to our VET. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made to serve our great country!!!!!!
