Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I have so much to be thankful for!
Hope you'll stop for a moment today and count your many blessings.
Traditions ~ do you have any that you absolutely have to do at Thanksgiving? Leave me a comment and let me know.
One of our traditions from when I was a kid to now is to make chex mix. Well, when I went to the store all the Chex cereal was gone and I thought to myself that maybe we didn't need it this year. WRONG - I had this nagging feeling that I just had to get all the stuff to make it and keep with this tradtion that I've had for so long. So, I purchased all of the stuff and made it when I got home from class last night!YUM! My house smelled so good and brought back a lot of memories of being a kid and smelling that worstershire sauce and butter melting and my mom making chex mix.
I'll update my blog tomorrow with all the classes that I've neglected to post (I think 5 now)!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings,
Sandy

I love that chex mix but I end up eating it all myself so I don't ever make it. Just thinking of the memories brought tears to my eyes though and I think I may get off this computer and go buy the stuff to make it. Happy Thanksgiving I wish we were able to be there.
Love you,
Linda

Sandy,
Happy Thanksgiving!
Chex Mix sounds good to me! Share your recipe, please. I have had it made several different ways.
I am sooo excited over certification next week I will probably leave half my stuff including Jerry!!! I called Wednesday and the girl told me there was only twelve in class. So maybe I won't be so intimated.
But I am looking forward to it too. The opportunity to learn more about painting and meeting others in the market. Plus, what if Donna comes in....I would just die!!!!! Well, enough about next week I gotta calm down!
Hope Thanksgiving was a great day for you and your family? Posh and Becks too?
I am so thankful I found you as a teacher! Sandy, I know I could have done this well painting without you! You have been so encouraging to me! I'm just wondering I will be doing as well at certification..?!
So my thanks this Thanksgiving goes to you and to God for showing me a hidden talent that I never knew I had!
Blessings in the new season to come,
AliceJ

It was great talking with you and catching up on the family news. Hope you continue to get healthier. Hope you find some time to rest over the holidays. I will keep Alice in my prayers as she pursues her certification. She has been producing marvelous pieces and is very talented. You can see her confidence in her smile. There is big difference between the first picture to now.

Hi Sweetie, hope yours was a great one, too...what I was talking about is about 3 posts back, A gift from Grace Douglas Valverde...it's a recipe for Gold Cake or Mama make the Good Cake...my mother's own recipe, and I was sharing it with all my friends. Go back and grab it!!! The cake was wonderful, first one we've had in seven years, we thought the recipe was lost with Mama's death...just goes to show you...

My family does the annual holiday photo that we use for our christmas cards. Can't do without that, although next year with Ashley being married and all, it might change.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
