That's what we've been painting this week in paint class.
I also redid my sign that sits in the front of Hobby Lobby. My old sign had taken a beaten and was on foam core. I painted this one on a very large canvas and put some board canvas on it with velcro so that I could switch them out. I used my Cricut machine for the letters ~ love that machine!
At Mondays paint class we painted two projects ~ one a small glass dish and a larger flat round platter that is actually a candle holder. I taught my students reverse painting so that they could use these plates for food.
The larger one was set for class but for the
smaller dish the students had free reign to paint it how they wanted to. We decided to have the easy tree on there with berries, snow, etc.

We obviously didn't get into the large craft fair we were hoping to do last weekend but we're working super hard to get a bunch of stuff done for the one coming up Nov. 16-18 at the AG center in Perry, GA ~ Misteltoe Market.
We had a bit of a scare last night. Posh decided that she was going to eat a rock and choked on it. Thankfully DH was in the backyard grilling chicken for dinner and noticed her pounding her nose on the ground to possibly dislodge it from her throat. DH stuck his finger down her throat and felt the rock which she quickly swallowed. I don't think we'd have Posh with us today if she hadn't been out there cooking dinner. We watched her the rest of the evening and she seemed fine - certainly didn't hurt her appetite at all as she devoured her dinner and slept like a baby until 6:30a.m. We're not sure if she passed the rock or not - to be honest I haven't really felt like checking that out but will maybe see if DH would be so kind to do that chore when he gets home ~ hehehe. (I know you are reading this honey)
Off to get ready for my 3 other paint classes this week. Hope you are having a great week.
I have my very first mammogram tomorrow morning!YIKES!

Some of your students are really talented! Cute cute project!
First of all, what a scare with poor Posh! Our good Lord was certainly looking out for her.
Your students continue to amaze me with their talent!
Hugs!

Thanks Julie. I think they are all really talented and they continue to amaze and bless me class after class!
Thanks Kat. We were very afraid for her - didn't look like she passed the rock so she might have to go to the doggy doctor after all.
Hi Sandy, such a talented group of ladies! Beautiful art, thanks for showing us :) Oh poor little Posh, thanks goodness hubby was there at that time, what a scare! So happy to hear she is ok :) And poor DH, has a yukky job ahead of him! LOL Have a great week sweet Sandy :) Jenn and Jacqui
Okay...that is really scary about Posh. I love the artwork and seeing some new faces...but have to comment on two other things. One, I am thrilled Alice did so well with the fruit, since I know she was concerned about certification. Second, how come Nicole NEVER has a bad hair day? LOL She always looks so great and I absolutely adore the curls she wore today! Good luck in the morning with the Mammy - one of the benefits of getting old, huh?
What a great group of students in your classes. They have all done such a great job and each one a little different.
What a scare with Posh.
Alison
You are a great teacher. It was all beautiful. Blessings from my home to yours. Mary
Look at those fun projects!! (((hugs))) for you and Posh...very scary stuff! smiles...
Bravo ladies, well done indeed. I was looking at the Cornucopia paintings and laughed out loud when remembering one I tried to paint a few thousand years ago and it was so ugly I threw it in the trash. Wish I had it now, it would give everyone a good laugh.
you busy little bee!!!!

I LOVE your new blog header....those pumpkins are stunning!!
hope your mammogram went ok :)

I can see piles of Christmas cookies on the Christmas lights plate. Thanks goodness Posh is all right! Is she the one that almost choked on the biscuit as well? Gotta watch out for that one!
