Donna Dewberry's Home~
& HD Certification
WOW! What an awesome time I had in Florida!
Tuesday, we were all invited for a chocolate tasting at Donna's home - check out my HEALTHY CHOCOLATE link on the right side of my blog!

She has such a LOVELY HOME! You know how sometimes you walk into someones house and it's just a house - and then you walk into someones house and feel like you are in a HOME! There is a difference. Donna has such a beautifully decorated HOME.

Charlie drove to Donna's home since she had the GPS system and it was absolultely hysterical when we ended up in the middle of a neighborhood and came to a dead end. They obviously closed the outlet in this neighborhood so we had to stop and ask someone that has just gotten home from work.

We ended up getting out on to the right road and made it just a little bit late. So, we nicknamed Charlie's GPS system "MAZEY" since she had us going in a maze.

The thing that really struck me were
all the things around her house that have
actually been in her painting books. Now, I don't where I thought they would be ~ it was like they were famous or something and I expected them to be in a museum or something - I don't know ~
but it was awesome to see them close up and in person.

Inside the front door ~ that's my friend Charlie trying to get her camera ready for all the photos.

No room was left untouched with PAINT
and I just loved the laundry room ~

AND the studio where she paints in her home ~
such an INSPIRATIONAL place! Oh, how I wish my studio were
this organized and pretty!

So, the week painting was FABULOUS! I have played around with this HD paint before but LEARNED so much and now LOVE this paint! We painted all day Wed, Thurs, and Fri. and took breaks for lunch and dinner. We all went to dinner at Chili's and a mexican restaurant and with such a small group it was awesome getting to know everyone on a more personal level. There were 15 of us in the certification and it was held at Dewberry Designs. There were paintings all over the place and again things that have been in Donna's books! You truly get those creative juices flowing being around all that inspirational ART!

I have some touch ups to do on some of the paintings I did last week cause they stuck together on the way home.

Here are some of my paintings that I did last week ~

I was so exhausted when I got home but was inspired so painted these magnolias after we got home from church yesterday~

Well, I best get back to house stuff, puppy stuff and hopefully more painting!
Have a great week!
Sandy

What a wonderful home she has. The studio space is amazing - so large and organized and bright. My GPS is the same way! Nothing is as good as the ol map some days.

I used to love to watch her on pbs in utah before we moved. I remember her saying she started painting after her kids were in bed and that is what I do! How amazing to see her things in real life-thanks for sharing!
