POINSETTIA BASKET

This week in paint class we painted this gorgeous basket of poinsettias.   The wood cutout is an exclusive Donna Dewberry Crafty Wave project piece and is available at www.craftywave.com

I also have the pattern packet for this project available HERE

Everyone did a beautiful job - it was a lot of work but in the end I think everyone was ready to paint another - there are two sides of the project too.  I painted the other side of mine with Fruit - that packet is also available - click the highlighted word HERE above to see!

HAPPY 40th Birthday to my baby sister Debbie!
Hope you have a fabulous day sista! We Love You!
Sweatshirts into Cardigans

In class on Monday we painted sweatshirts with evergreen sprigs, pinecones, ribbon and ornaments.   Then we cut the arms off the sweatshirt to make them 3/4's and cut it straight up the middle ~ used Beacon Fabri-Tac glue (INCREDIBLE STUFF) to make a nice finished edge on the cuts - no sew, easy project.   Some of the ladies do sew and wanted to take theirs home and surge them on their machines.  Have a feeling I'll be seeing these all around town as I listened to the ladies talk about the sweatshirts they were going to give this holiday season!

Level 2 Certification in Warner Robins, GA
My friend Donna came and taught a Level 2 One Stroke Painting Certification in Warner Robins, GA. this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.   We had such an awesome time!  There were 12 people attending ~ most of them from the local area but others from Charlotte, NC, Florida and Tennessee.   It was 3 FULL days of painting, learning, painting and learning!  Think everyone did such an awesome job and left exhausted but excited with all they learned.

Me & Donna

Our friend Lori (hippiechick)!   I was so excited that she got to come with Donna and help out - she painted like a crazy women - and sitting in the same room for 3 days did about drive her crazy!

Here are some more snapshots from the event

Have a wonderful day! I'm exhausted!!

 Under Construction
So....we've been busy with an extension on the back of our house.  A first for us and so far everything is going very well.  We are extending our useless Florida room into a larger room about 400 sq. ft. actually. The room wasn't very functional as the area that lead from our bedroom into the Florida room was basically a hallway and then the other end was pretty much a square which we would have turned into maybe a gaming room but there were no cables out there for a tv.   We ended up putting the boys guitars, amps, microphone and speakers out there along with a bunch of my painting and creating supplies! Way too packed for all of that.  Here are some pics so far! Looking forward to having it done and having more room - which I know I will have no problem filling up ~ lol!

They've gotten all the fans back up and have painted the walls and mouldings around the walls - will update with some pictures later!
Have a fabulous day!

Fall Placemats ~I taught a class a couple of weeks ago and we painted Fall Placemats!
I'm so glad that Fall is here - think it's my favorite time of year! Love the crispness in the air and the changing colors in the trees most.
