What day is it?
Don't you ask yourself that question when there has been a holiday and you're off work, kids are out of school, etc. My hubby came home from work early yesterday and is off today and it just throws everything out of whack. Dont' get me wrong, I LOVE having him home! I'd rather have him home than at work ~ really. We've often said that it would be nice to run a company from our own home so that we could be home together. Actually winning the lottery and being able to stay home sounds even better but I quess we'd have to play the lottery to win it huh?

I've tried very hard so far this year to not procrastinate and so far I'm doing OKAY ~ not great but OKAY. I really want to have all of my classes done and prepared for before the end of this week but I'm just not sure that I'm gonna make that deadline I've set for myself.
I'm looking forward to a paint day tomorrow with one of my students Stacia. She won the drawing to come and spend a day at my house painting and I'll share those pics with you some time over the weekend. Have a couple of projects planned and a nice lunch - and hopefully hubby will be off early to come and take the boys out for lunch and get them out of the house.

Here are some things that I've been working on so far this month ~
I'm participating in an awesome swap with Karla and Beth called the Sweet Treats and Roses Swap ~ we had to create a recipe card and this is what I came up with. I painted the front cover border with roses and played around with a vintage postcard to create the back. I still have to make a tag and then I can get it mailed off.

Nicole and I have been painting keychains ~ you can go on over to MandE Designs
to see more of what we've been doing.

This one is on it's way far far away to a friend ~ hope she likes it.

I've almost gotten my studio exactly the way I want it. I did manage with hubbys help to take the furniture out and wash the hard wood floor in there and it's just about organized and manageable again. The house and re-arranging is coming together nicely as well. We've managed to declutter some areas of the house and I'm really trying to get myself out of the mindset that "I might need it someday".

Well, have a fantastic day!

Blessings,
Sandy

I was visiting Pear Tree Studio and saw the link to your beautiful blog. I am so glad that I stopped by, I love ribbons and roses and your creation is lovely. When my husband works from home my days are punctuated by feeding him. I find it distracting, but he loves working from home sometimes. Karen
