Back to Painting!

I can't believe I haven't posted on my blog since the second week in January! Where did that month go? Way too fast I know that.
I took December off from painting classes and didn't have any paint classes until the last couple of days of January. I was having serious withdrawls from seeing my friends! Seeing the ladies LOVE the project and LOVE what they were learning!

I wanted to start off the New Year painting two flowers that I absolutely LOVE ~ Iris and Hydrangeas.

We didn't have time to paint a field of Iris like I wanted to as we really practiced what we were painting. Some painted on a tote bag and others a t-shirt and I think they all did well!

Sunflowers ~ so my sons friend asked me to paint a canvas for his girlfriend and he wanted sunflowers ~ her favorite. So...I started painted this canvas above and after I painted the background I thought she's too young to want a painting like what I had in my head (above) and he mentioned that she liked her name on things so I painted the one below. She LOVED it!

February is a busy busy month! Don't know how I'm gonna fit it all in with it being a short month but I guess I have no choice huh? lol

Hard to believe that the boys only have 4 more months of this school year left. THEN we'll have a senior in high school - YIKES!

Suppose to have strong storms tonight -pray they are blow through with little damage and hope my family & friends up in the midwest and north keep warm and stay safe with this snow & ice storm!  I'm READY FOR SUMMER already!

Have a great week!

Wedding & Wacky Weather

This weekend I went to Florida for Anna and Westons wedding. It was FABULOUS!
They both had a fabulous "glow" about them and just beamed when they walked out as husband and wife!   Here are some snapshots from the day

Wacky Weather
We've had some wacky weather the last couple of days.  Had lots of ice that coated just about everything. Schools were closed for two days (not sure about tomorrow) the Air Force Base was closed and hubby was to go out of town to Calif. and his flight was cancelled, rescheduled, and cancelled again so the he's not going now - yeah! and he got to stay home yesterday.  He is still recovering from breaking two of his ribs a couple of weeks ago so it was nice that he didn't have to go out and risk falling - reinjuring himself.

Hope you are keeping warm! Have a great day!
Sandy
