Holiday Card Class
Had a wonderful Holiday Cards Class yesterday. We painted cards using Martin F. Weber's Mission Watercolors that I purchased at HOOT! Loved the results and everyone did such a fabulous job on their cards!

My day started out a big crazy! Got to Hobby Lobby early to get ready for my class as I had a lot of stuff to separate and get together for each student. I went into the cabinet to get my water basins and took one stack - filled them up and went back to get another stack and there starring at me was a mouse!
Yes, of course I screamed - LOUDLY - and slammed the doors and ran over to the employee break room. Many people came back to see who screamed and then got Chris to get the mouse out of there.

Well he thought he'd catch him in a box or two and instead the mouse decided to climb into my bag that was laying down on the ground with easels in it. Chris scooped it up and ran to the front of the store to get let it go outside! EEK! Threw me off all day. 

Then last night- chills, sweats, chills, sweats, and now sore throat - so home in bed today and no bowling :( sadly.  It's a rainy day here in Middle GA and one of those veggie soup, curl up on the couch with an afghan kinda days!

Larger Than Life Canvas Painting Workshop

Today I taught an all day workshop ~ painting LARGE!  Everyone brought pictures or ideas of what they wanted to paint and if they didn't I provided ideas for them to pick from and then they painted them on a 30x40 gallery wrapped canvas.
We had flowers, seascape, flowers and tusan landscapes! Loved what everyone did and think they'll all be painting LARGE again!

Happy "16th" Birthday to our youngest Holland!!

Wow ~ what JOY and LAUGHTER this kid has brought to our lives over these last 16 years!  He's always quick witted and such a comedian ~ most of the times without trying!

 

Still hard to wrap my head around the fact that our youngest is 16. Makes me feel old but more than that I feel and know that I am truly blessed!

Have been so blessed with a wonderful husband and three fabulous boys that have grown into such fine young men! I'm one proud momma can you tell?!

 

 

 

Happy Birthday Grandma/Great-Grandma!

Tomorrow is my Grandmother's birthday too!  What an independent women she is! Still volunteers, sings in her church choir and loves to go to concerts - not the kind of concerts my boys do but Jazz! :) We love you grandma ~ wish we could be with you on YOUR DAY!

Burlap Door Decor Class 

Last week we painted some Fall Door Decor on burlap!! Absolutely LOVED this class and so did all my students. Have several that are alread painting and selling these adorable creations!

 

We painted the scarecrow in class but I wanted to share with them just a few other things they can paint on them. The ideas really are endless and some have created some really adorable things with other ideas and designs! Love that!!

Last Friday we painted another Fall inspired painting with oak leaves, acorns, scrollwork and words of gratitude!
This painting was so warm and I just love the "feel" of it! Everyone did a wonderful job and I hope they'll paint it on many more things this Fall season!
