Painting Sunflowers and a Baltimore Oriole

In paint class yesterday we painted some amazing sunflowers and the cutest Baltimore Oriole!! I love the way they turned out and was thrilled with how everyone did! They all seemed to really enjoy the way we painted them and loved how easy the bird was!

On Saturday I taught a whole day workshop on LEAVES - it was awesome!!  These ladies were probably tired of me asking them if the handle of their brush was leaning or straight up and down but there were some AH HA moments that I LOVED hearing!! That's what it's all about - practicing until you have that AH HA moment and get it!!

Certification Class

I had a fabulous One Stroke Level 1 Certification earlier this month with three fabulous ladies!

Monica, Ananda and Sharon

They did such a fabulous job learning and painting.  It was three intense days of painting painting and more painting but we had so much fun!!

Ananda had so much fun she signed up for the Level 2 that Donna is teaching here in Middle Georgia in October!!
Keep painting and keep PRACTICING ladies!!

Have a blessed day!

READY FOR FALL!!
I'm so ready for FALL ~ have already started decorating the house!  We got a new couch for the living room and well - it's HUGE but I LOVE it and it's quite comfortable!

I love these pumpkins - got them 90% off at Hobby Lobby last year (originally $40.00) they were on the pedastals already but since they are made of resin they were quite scratched up - HELLO - nothing a little - okay A LOT of glitter wouldn't fix!

I must have sat across from the couch in the showroom for about an hour looking at it trying to decide - at one point I was on one side and Steven on the other - laying down looking at each other - talking about whether or not we liked it!
Just realized looking at this picture that I need to take those spring flowers OFF the wall by the screen!

Can't decide if this is the way we are going to leave it or not! For now, it's good! TOO heavy to move by myself so once I decide where it's going - if we do move it - that is where it will stay!

Birthdays ~
our baby will be 14 years old tomorrow! So hard to believe he is 14 years old already! He certainly is our COMIC relief - always making us laugh with his quick wit and humor!

My Grandmother has a birthday on Tuesday! She is amazing - still drives, shops, lives in the same house she has for many many years! She sings and travels with choirs, loves to listen to jazz concerts and is always busy!!

&
our nephew Cameron celebrates his birthday later in the month (28th) ~ we love you Camo - hope your birthday is super FUN!

Of course, I will share photos as I get them. Have been terrible about getting the camera out for much lately!

Have a fabulous week! I'll be back with posts soon!

20 Years Ago Today! I married my best friend!
Today is our 20th Wedding Anniversary! Where has 20 years gone - oh my!  Let me just say that I am married to the most generous, kind, and loving husband a girl could ever hope for! He SPOILS me rotten!! Always has and says he always will ~ how lucky am I!
I think I've posted about my Anniversary every year since I've been bloggin so you can go and read the story about how we met and married on every Sept. 1st post since I started this blog.

I had a class this past Monday - we did backgrounds.  I tend to do all of the backgrounds for my classes since we only have 2 1/2 hours in each class. Most are too elaborate to start and finish plus learn all the strokes for the project so I do them and give them instructions in their project folders.  This class was all about those backgrounds plus some NEW ones that I had never done before for a class.  Everyone did such a great job and LOVED what they created. Can't wait to see the amazing paintings they put on top of these backgrounds now.

Have a great day!!
