Roses in Woils
Yesterday I taught this design I created just before Valentine's Day!
It was challenging but everyone did such a fabulous job and I think now they all have the confidence to paint a rose!
Missed Patty (who was sick) & Jenny who had to work and then get ready to go and visit her daddy in Florida today!

Basic Strokes Art Journaling Class
Had a wonderful time in both of my Art Journaling classes this month! We painted bamboo and bird of paradise flowers with the stroke we concentrated on for this class.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope all my family and friends have the best Valentine's Day ever!

Remember that LOVE is the greatest of all!
I'm so blessed to have the family and friends that are in my life!

I'm so blessed that God brought my honey into my life 23 years ago!
He treats me like a queen!
He tells me every day how much he loves me!
He tells me ever day how beautiful he thinks I am!
He cheers me up when I'm down and consoles me when he sees me hurting!
He's my biggest encourager, supporter and cheerleader!
I've always had friends that have asked if they can borrow him ~ he cleans, cooks, does laundry and so much more!
He asks me every day what he can do for me to make my day better!
He is the spiritual leader of our house which makes me love him even more!
He is the most amazing father to our three boys and I can only hope and pray they grow up to be just like him with their wives and children (one day a very long time from now I hope) lol
It's very rare that he has a bad day! Always has a smile on his face and always looks for the good in everyone and every situation!

I am blessed and beyond thankful that I can call him my husband and my bestest friend!

Happy wife!
Sandy

Vintage Inspired Tole Tray Paint Classes

Had two fabulous paint classes yesterday teaching this Vintage Inspired Tole Tray that I designed. We painted the tin tray (from the Dollar Tree - yes only $1 tray) with Plaid Folk Art Enamels(TM).

I've always loved vintage tole trays and the black ones are my favorite! I love the blue and green ones that I've seen too but I just love how the flowers pop on the black.
I also love the Zhostovo style of decorative painting and think I combined a touch of that as well in this relatively simple tray to paint.

I painted three designs but we painted the oval design in class together.

Weekend Painting Fun!
Yesterday I had a small but oh so fun kids class! Kamryn and Mackenzie came out to paint my whimsical owl and we had so much fun! These two are so creative and love to add their own personal touches to make their paintings theirs!

SPRINGTIME
Then I taught a 6 1/2 hour wOils class with 4 fabulous ladies! We painted my Springtime wooden plate design and everyone did such a great job. There was just too much to learn on this design to do it in a regular class time slot so we made an afternoon of learning the flowers, blackground and lots of blending techniques with the wOils.
